If you use a sound machine in DC's room...

Do you leave it on all night?

Yes and it drives DH nuts as he can hear it across the hall.

Re: If you use a sound machine in DC's room...

yep! it helps him go back to sleep if he wakes up.

And its loud! I worry I'm hurting his ears sometimes. But he sleeps so well with it.

I just use a small fan that I leave on each time he naps & when he sleeps (all night). Our doors are both closed,so we don't hear it! (But we sleep with our own fan for the noise also!!)

Re: If you use a sound machine in DC's room...

yep, we used to use it in our room. I use it for him now and turn the volume up on the moniter. Now all of us get use out of it. I can't sleep without noise, my DH works nights, if I heard the house settling I wouldn't sleep, so I need noise. DS doesn't hear the dogs barking when it's on too.

Yes. DS is still in our room and I love having it on all night. It helps me go right to sleep.

We use the sleep sheep and right now the noise automatically shuts off after 45 minutes. DS doesn't wake up so I guess it's working for now! DH and I sleep with a sound machine too... it's way too quiet otherwise! When we've gone away without it we always regret it!

No. I use the 30 minute timer. It's enough.

No, I set it for 15 minutes and she is usually out before then. I usually have a humidifier or the AC on for some background noise though.

Thanks everyone. We keep it on all night also and was just curious as to what other people do.
