if your child does/did wake up in the middle of the night
what are things that you do to help this....I just can't take it anymore...my 2 1/2 yr old cried for about 2 hours yesterday...he was relentless...we even went in there to try to help him...but honestly all it did was get everyone involved extremelly upset and agitated

Re: if your child does/did wake up in the middle of the night
Yup. My DD cried last night every 20 min from 10PM-2:30AM. I would go in and lay her down, rub her back and she would fall asleep but wake again in 20 min! I even resorted to bringing her into my bed but she was still waking. Dont know if its teething or what!

Re: if your child does/did wake up in the middle of the night
DD winds up in our bed. We are in a tight space right now and she will wake up her sister who has sleeping issues also. so whoever wakes up usually winds up in our bed so we dont have 2 screaming kids under 2 years old.

Re: if your child does/did wake up in the middle of the night
Yep DS is doing this too, he's 15 months old. He's been sleeping 8-8 for months, now all of a sudden hes taking longer to fall asleep and he's waking up earlier and waking in the middle of the night. its driving me crazy. he's not completely in pain bc he's totally fine when I pick him up last night he only slept from 9-5:30. it took him an hour to cio before going to sleep. i have absolutely no idea what is going on with him. this happens on the nights i give him motrin or not. so i really dont think its only teething. seperation anxiety maybe? just manipulation? i have no idea

this was us....they were in our bed forever, but now we have a 19 day old in our room, and I just can't. When I wake up to feed him, if they are in our room, they wake up too and end up watching tv with us (I have to put on the tv so I don't fall asleep!!!)

with my boys, its total manipulation...they have it down to a science...the things they come up with that they "need"...a drink because my throat hurts, another pillow because my ear hurts...pee because I just drank water...it goes on, and on and on

Re: if your child does/did wake up in the middle of the night
DD is 12 months and occaisonally will cry in the middle of the night. I usually just go in and give her the binkie and she quiets down.
Over the weekend she was actually standing up in the crib crying. I picked her up, gave her the binkie and rubbed her back for a min then put her back. She went right to sleep.

Yeah well sometimes we wind up with both in our bed. Now they are 22 months and 9 months and it can be a bit sometimes.
It you DC still in a crib? or a toddler bed? We are going to turn our 22month old's crib into the toddler day bed since she's sooo happy being in a regular bed and hoping and praying that that will work. I was also thinking it might be teething, but 1:30 is the witching hour in our house lately and i've been up since that time every night for the past week
