if your child is/was on Alimentum and you have The Empire Plan insurance?
did the insurance co. give you a hard time about covering the formula? DS was on Alimentum 3 years ago and insurance covered it, no problem. DS #2 is now starting on it and the dr. said that insurance companies are giving a hard time lately with covering it. What was your experience? (he has all the classic symptoms of a milk protein allergy)

I didnt have Empire but GHI-DENIED!
I tried everything I could to fight it.
Same thing with me, it was cov'd when my DD was born and needed it. 3 yrs later, nope.

My DD is currently on Alimentum and I have had no problem with the insurance paying for it. I also have The Empire Plan.

Me too. As long as you have a perscription from the doc you should be fine.

I had a problem with getting covered for my first b.c she didn't try soy as well as various brands, just similac.
My second DD may need it and hopefully it will be covered this time since we've tried everhing out there with no help.

We have Empire and they covered Nutramigen. The same as Alimentum. It was a fight at first but then they covered it. Too bad he was only on it for about 10 days.

I assume you a prescription from the pediatrician, right?

My friend has Empire and had hers covered completely.
I have GHI (and Medco as prescription) and it was denied....baby must be failing to thrive to get it covered.
