If your DC goes to preschool, what is the teacher to child ratio?
And also, for pre-k.
Is Pre-k like regular elementary school (20+ kids for 1 teacher plus aide)?
We are trying to figure out what to do with DS this fall.
He is currently in full time daycare, which costs us $1400/mo.
The Catholic school by us has a pre-school class for 3 year olds and also pre-k.
The pre-school class is 8:30 to 2PM and $3500 for the school year, so we would be saving a significant amount of money and have worked out childcare from 2 to when DH and I get home from work.
My only hesitation is that the pre-school class has 1 teacher and 1 aide for 25 children.
I just can't imagine a class of 3 year olds getting so little individual attention.

I only know about preschool. I have spoken to three. #1- the ratio was 2:20 kids. For me I thought that was high #2- 2:12 #3: 2:11
I also asked about when they went outside. Preschool #1&2 had all the classes in the playground at the same time. For #1 that meant over 50 kids for 4 adults. To me that was nuts.
