If your DC has a fever all day and night
Do you wake them in the middle of the night to give them tylenol/motrin or do you just let them sleep?

I usually check it while he's sleeping with an ear thermometer. If it is high I give it to him, if not I let him go.

I've found with DD that if her fever is *that* high she will wake on her own b/c she is uncomfortable. I've never "had" to wake her.

I've found with DD that if her fever is *that* high she will wake on her own b/c she is uncomfortable. I've never "had" to wake her.

I let him wake us...if he's sleeping peacefully I don't see the need to wake him.

What are we considering "high? She has been 101 the entire day...last night was 103.8.....that's high! I personally don't think I'd wake her for 101....am I wrong?

I have a deep sleeper, i was always able to just shoot it into the side of his mouth.

Depends on the fever. I am crazy so I check every half hour or so!
If its 101 and under 102, I'll let her sleep. Sometimes you NEED to burn off baddies in your system.
But 102 and up I wake her up and give her meds. Then again, she BARELY wakes up. haha. But if she does she's super cranky. I know it sounds cruel but I take that opportunity to change her, check for good wet diapers, give meds and put her back to sleep. All under 5mins.

the few times that DS had fever i gave him tylenol or motrin before bed and he slept through; i didnt and probably wouldnt wake him
if he still didnt feel well he would wake up earlier than usual
