If your DC takes a chewable MV, do you give Flouride pills?
Pharm doesn't have the liquid vits with the flouride anymore. So ped said take flintstone chewable and fluoride tablet.
I just dont feel ok with the fluoride tablet. Filled the script and CVS gave some pills and had 2 different type pills in the one bottle. I didnt feel ok with this and asked why are there 2 diff pills in ONE bottle? They told me it was 2 different makers. Still makes me uneasy. I just dont feel ok with random pills in one bottle. So that turned me off. I guess I hate giving my DC some pill that they could have made a mistake on, all for some flouride. So I havent given any but not sure what to do!!
So moms whos DC take a chewable, what do you do for flouride? ANd if its pills, are they in a bottle made up by the pharmacy or in a prepackaged type of blister pack?

I have a MV with fluoride in it. Otherwise they have fluoride liquid that you could give

My ped gives me a prescription for DS that is a chewable vitamin with flouride in it.

I'd tell the pharmacy that you want the prescription refilled from the same manufacturer. I can't believe that they would give you 2 different pills in the same bottle.

I forgot to mention that I also get a script from the ped.
My bottle doesn't say the maker just mult-vit-flour 0.5 mg tab chw.
I would call your ped. and see if they can just call it into the pharmacy.

OK, just went and got the bottle:
Qualitest is the manufacturer
Multi-Vitamin with flouride
Chewable tablets
Grape
0.5 mg
Let me add that prior to DS 3 year visit, the dosage was 0.25 mg (I believe).
At his 3 year well visit, the ped gave me a new script with a different dosge.
ETA: This is a bottle that is put together at the pharmacy. It's a bottle of 100 pills. Not blister packs. But they are all the same pill.

DD is 3.5 she takes a chewable pill that has flouride in it- it comes in a bottle.
