If your dog ever got stung by a bee/wasp...
Not sure if my dog was stung by something. Last night he started acting weird, rubbing his face, very uncomfortable and today I found a wasp near his bed in our living room. It was still alive, I killed it but not sure if that is why my dog was acting weird last night. Today he is better but occasionally will rub his face. I don't see anything noticeable but he has a lot of fur so it would be hard to see.
Anyone have any input on what to do, if anything? There would not be a stinger left behind as I read that wasps don't leave stingers.

He should be ok. Just watch for swelling which would be an allergic reaction. See if ou can locate the sting spot but he should be fine.

Sam got stung by a bee about two years ago... My vet just said to check for swelling etc, but did say we could give him Benedryl just in case of a reaction... I believe she said 1 pill per 25 lbs.

My dog has and is allergic. He got hives all up his back. We gave him benadryl. 1ml for every pound. He's 50lbs so he got 50ml (2 adult pills).

Re: If your dog ever got stung by a bee/wasp...
Thanks everyone.
I still think he got stung but he is much better. I had a vet appt but cancelled b/c he is acting normal now and I cant find anything resembling a sting on him. But I found another bee on my window, right above my dogs bed. We killed it and caulked around the window, we think that's how they are getting in.
I knew about the benadryl but was afraid to give him something that would mask what was really going on, since I wasn't and still dont know if he was really stung.
Thank you everyone.
