If your pet is chipped...
Make sure you register the chip. We found a dog yesterday and she had a chip, but it wasn't registered so they couldn't track the owner. Thankfully, we found her owner.
The pound said a lot of people don't realize they need to register the chips, after getting their pets. Just thought I'd share the info! :)

We still have to do this. Our guy was chipped already when we adopted him but I still have to call the company to register.  Anyone know if it is a yearly fee or a one time thing?

When we got our kitty chipped, our Vet said the same thing. Cant believe all the people that dont register.

We registered our dog when we got her, previous owners never did. It was a 1-time fee of only $19.50. Best $20 I ever spent if it means getting my dog back safe & sound! 
BTW, if anyone isn't sure how to do it or if you adopted your dog and don't have the chip # or info (like us).. My vet was able to scan her to check for the chip number and which company it was. Then I just got the form online & sent it in. Very quick & easy.

home again charges a yearly service charge I think it's like 15 or something

You can even do it on the web, that's how I registered Brinkley and then changed the registration on Ginger.
It's a great reminder, thank you for posting it.
