We bought our house 9 months after we were married. We used the $$ we got from the wedding to pay off our credit card bills, then saved up and were approved for a mortgage.

We bought our first home together before we were even engaged. DH had owned a home previously. We just bought our second home together and we are renting our first home.

My DH has owned his Townhouse for about 8 years. We are purchasing a house now and should close in Dec., that is one month after our 1st anniversary.
