if you're using a dresser as changing table with a changing pad on top . . . come on in!!
What are you putting in the draws below your chaning table?
We are using a dresser as our changing table. We have 3 rows of draws below - 1st row is 2 side by side drawers then the next 2 rows are 2 drawers the length of the dresser.
so far i have her receiving blankets, burp clothes, towels and sheets in the bottom drawer.
how should i organize the 1st and 2nd row drawers? also should i buy a caddy or basket to keep on top with stuff i'll use everyday? and if so, whats considered everyday stuff??
We also a tall 6 drawer chesy which i'm putting most of DD's clothes in, the rest (nicer stuff) will go in the closer.

On top of the changing table we have: Changing pad Hand sanitizer Caddy with: - diapers - wipes - diaper cream - nipple cream (since I nurse right next to the dresser)
The draws below it all have clothes in them so it's close by when I have to change her unexpectedly.

I have a basket at the foot of the changing pad that holds a bunch of diapers (I don't use the diaper stacker that came with our bedding), diaper cream, wipes, lotion and his vitamins
If there is something else DS needs everyday I keep it there so I remember it.
It's SO much easier (for me anyway) to have what I need right at my fingertips -- especially that DS is 7 months old now and a monkey on the chaging table!

I am using the middle draw for all the clothing. Most baby stuff doesn't really need to be hung & I though it would be easier to have it right in my reach. I plan on dressing the baby on the changing pad anyway.

Mine doesn't have drawers I have 4 large baskets. One with bibs and birth cloths, one with ointments, wipes, & washes, one with blankies, and one with diapers. One top I just have a box of wipes.

I have in the first draw - Burp clothes, Recv Blankets
Second - Swaddle blankets, sleepsacks
Third - Sheets, extra changing pad covers and things like that.
I also have a small cabinet on the side where I keep the x-tra diapers, wipes and other cleaning items & from the pic you can see I also have 3 small thin draws where I keep an extra outfit in case I would need to change him, I also put the first aid kit in here.
On top of the dresser I have a diaper cady with everything I need to grab such as diaper cream, wipes, diapers, A&D, Q-tips, etc...
Here is a pic to give you an idea (Taken with Cell)

I plan on setting it up the same way.

Do you like having the hutch up top, or is it restricting when changing LO? We ordered our furnture yesterday and skipped the hutch and now looking at your picture, I think I want it!!

Well I don't have a LO yet, but this is the way I looked at it when ordering furniture, we plan on having this set for a LONG time and since the baby is only in diapers for a couple of years, I wanted to get something for down the road that made more sense instead of getting something for "the now only". The shelves are adjustable and you can also remove them, so we raised the shelf and there is plenty of room for the baby to get changed and eventually even stand when the time comes.
Just wanted to add, we also have a tall dresser (Look in my album) and a ton of closet space so we are fine with storage.

Re: if you're using a dresser as changing table with a changing pad on top . . . come on in!!
We have a 6 drawer dresser that we are using. I gave up the first 2 side by side drawers.
One drawer has all white onesies, pj's & undershirts as well as socks & hats. The other drawer has outfits. Both drawers only have items that will fit him from birth to 6 months.
The 6-12 month clothing are all washed & ready to be switched in and are at my moms.
Next to the changing pad I have a big fabric lined basket as a diaper caddy.
We have the bath towels, washclothes, sheets & extra blankets in the hall linen closet on a separte shelf.
We literally only have the miin amount - I have 4 sheets to rotate, 2 bath towels, 2 packages of wash cloths, 3 receiving blankets.
We are limited on space, so everything can't be overdone in quantity.

We want the set to grow with our LO too and I love the way the hutch looks up top! Oh I didn't know that some had adjustable shelves! I am definiteLy considering adding this to our order. THANKS!!
