We only eat at the little food kiosk inside the park itself....and we just buy lunch there. The prices are like amusement park prices for food...maybe like $8 for the chicken strips; $5 for nachos...like that. We're going next week so I can let you know the exact prices if you'd like.
As far as dinner, we never eat there. We go out to local restaurants/ pizzerias. Last year we did eat at the buffet though. Food was kinda gross, I thought. This year (we have 6 families going), the moms will head out to the local pizzeria and bring back pies/ garlic knots/ etc...and we're going to eat in the water park so we don't miss out on any park time.

We just got back. First pack a whole bag with snacks, juice boxes etc. They didnt seem to have any issues with us bringing food into the waterpark area regardless of the signs, no one ever asked or said anything.
We only ate at the resort for 1 lunch. We got pizza hut, which was comparable to the pizza hut in target or anywhere. THe drinks were pricy. a bottle of water in the vending machine or the gift shop was $3.
We ate dinner out...there is plenty near there, friendlys, diner, hibachi, etc.

Re: if you've been to great wolf lodge, do you remember how costly the food was?
it's fairly reasonable if you want pizza hut express or burger/fried out of the counter.
The site down place is very pricey. The buffet is over $20pp
We go eat in the next town only 1/2-1 mile away.
Friendly's Subway Pizza
oh and they have a starbuck's now.
Since we drive to go there, we bring our own breakfast, drinks, snacks. So much cheaper.
