I'm a MOMMY!!! Let me introduce Haley Lyn
Hello everyone-
Just wanted to introduce my baby girl Haley Lyn born 12/19/09 6lbs 12.5 oz.
She made her grand appearance as we were getting bombed with over 2ft of snow. Thatta girl!!!
I can't lie-labor wasn't anything I thought it would be. of course I expected the worst but it wasn't bad AT ALL!!!
I went in Fri night to be induced. After all was said and done I got the Cervidil at 1230 am (Sat morning). I was 1 cm when I went in. My dr took the cervidil out about 830 am and started the pitocin about 915. At 130 she broke my water-NO TURNING BACK NOW. Once she broke my water my contractions instantly went to 1-2 minutes apart and I had ALL BACK LABOR  Let me just say that shiiiiit hurt like a mofooooo. WIthin about 20 minutes of back labor I got an epidural. After the epidural, you might want to kiss the dr bc he just made your labor so much nicer :) lol. Dr came back in to check how far along I was at 4pm and I was only 3 cm. This seemed like the longest labor ever. Little did I know. Dr came back in at 7pm and I was 7 cm. She said basically worse case scenario is you progress about 1 cm an hour and then push for 2-3 hours because of the epidural. I was looking at giving birth at 2 am. OY. Well scratch all that bc a few minutes later I was having unbearable pain in my butt-like I had to go to the bathroom. My nurse was so calm and just started getting everything ready-and kept asking where my dh was but I wasn't thinking anything of it. I was wondering why my epidural wasn't working for this intense urge to poop but at 720 when she got my dr-I was 10 cm and ready to go. 7-10 cm in 20 minutes-not bad for a first baby lol.
9 minutes and 6 pushes later... My baby was born-with a nice set of lungs might I add. First question out of my mouth to the nurse was if she had long eye lashes and then if she had a cone head lol. She was so alert and her eyes were opened the second she came out. She is absolutely beautiful and I fall in love over and over again everytime I look at her.
