I'm a mommy!! (Sorry it took so long)
My baby boy was born on December 23, 2008. He weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 20 inches long. We are both doing great!!! I'm sooo in love with him. Thankfully I had a very east labor. I had went to the doctor Monday morning and they were saying he was very big and they moved my induction date up to Wednesday instead of Sunday. I was only 1 1/2 cm dilated at my appointment but I had passed my mucuos plug that morning. All afternoon I was having contractions but nothing so intense. Around 7PM they started to intensify. My DH and I started to time them. Around 10:45 we called the doctor because they were every 5 minutes for one hour. We go the hospital at 11:15 PM and I was 3 cm. They had me walk around for 2 hours so that I would make a bit more progress. I was only able to last 1 1/2 hour. When I went back to the room they checked me and I was now 6 cm and my water broke. This was around 1:30 AM. I got my epidural at this point and it was HEAVEN!!! The next time my doctor came in to check me I was 10 CM and ready to push. I pushed for 40 minutes and my gorgeous son was born at 5:47. It has been a big adjustment. I had a nurse who was AMAZING but she left yesterday. I'm just starting to get into a routine with him. I want to thank all of the girls on this board for all of your help. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancies!!!!! My labor was not NEARLY as bad as I had expected!!!!
