I'm back after DS's birth!
Hi everyone! I am back! I have to share my birth story for you all, and in case you have any questions, dont be afraid to ask!
So I was baking pumpkin breads and pecan pie in my kitchen the day before Thanksgiving. I had pre-surgical testing that morning, and my c-section was scheduled for 9am on Black Friday.
I baked the loaves of bread, finished making the crust and took 4 breaks every hour lol but I love baking so... I was just rolling out the crust when I felt terrible "menstrual cramps". I thought to myself, hmmmmmmm I must have a horrible stomach ache brewing.
I put the pie in the oven, told DH "something's not right" and I went to the bathroom. I went #2 and thought "Oh, ok this stomach ache will get better. RIGHT. I cut the pie crust into some pie cookies for my DDs and yelled up to DH "hey, go pack your bag, I think I'm having contractions". I had packed my bag 3 weeks ago and kept it in the car, DH had nothing ready. Naturally, he just thought I was nagging him.  At this point, I was having them every 15 mins or so. I finished baking and ran up to the bathroom to take a shower with a special cleansing gel they gave me at pre-surgical testing.
DH figured I wasn't lying when I came out of the shower and got on the phone with the Ob office and dialed "1" LOL
At this point, they were 8 mins apart and DH bumping into things. I literally had to shake him  The car ride was worse. Although the contractions only lasted 20 seconds or so, they were SO painful and coming 5 mins apart. 
We went to L&D where I was checked out- 2cm dillated but 90% effaced. My ob was already there, and sure enough, we were told the C-section would be in an hour! The epidural was magical, and I was wheeled into the OR around midnight.
At 12:41am, our beautiful son was born! He was fine and we got to be with him immediately. He never left our side while they fixed me up, tied me up, and cleaned up.
He weighed 7lbs. 15oz and is perfect! Our little turkey was born on Thanksgiving!

I love how you kept such a level head that you not only showered but remembered to use the hibiclens that they gave you for pre-surgical!!! LOL!! As soon as you said that wash, I'm like oh I remember the wash! Hibiclens!! LOL!!!
