I'm FUMING!!!!!! HELP PLEASE
Ok, my dad, and my brothers are coming from VA. tonight. <---This is the e-mail DH just sent me. MIL just called to let him know that my FIL & BILs are on their way here from VA. I live in a 2x2 apt. They're staying w/us. How F'ing rude!!!!!! I'm beyond pi$$ed is it me???? Is this not rude. We have to go out tonight & what we leave them the keys? I have to work tomorrow morning...with them there?

That is SO VERY RUDE!! Even if you lived in a mansion, its rude to tell someone you are on your way to visit them, when this was not previously discussed. So sorry

OMG this is SOOO RUDE!!!!
I would suggest a hotel. It is so rude to put you out like this - where will they all sleep? And who just arrives without even asking???
ETA: Tell DH no way - there's no room. Tell MIL the same thing!!!

I wouldn't leave early, I would say that they can eat at the diner or something and wait for US to get home. If you had previous plans and this was sprung on you with no notice, why are you further inconvenienced?

I wouldn't leave early, I would say that they can eat at the diner or something and wait for US to get home. If you had previous plans and this was sprung on you with no notice, why are you further inconvenienced?
I don't get it. Why would anyone in their right minds do this. $crew them I'll go to my mom's house & they can stay there. I haven't even cleaned up....my apt. is kinda messy.

Exactly disrespectful & rude. It's the principal of it all. I had had a huge fight w/ my husband over this. Again his family causing uncalled for problems in my life.

You're not wrong, and you're not overreacting. It's rude to show up unannounced, and expect to have a place to say. What would they do if you & DH were going away for the weekend??? Sleep in the street? It's definitely unacceptable, and I would mention it to them when they arrived....
which leads me to ask, are you 100% that DH didn't just forget to mention to you that they were coming? Some guys are SUCH bubbleheads that they leave details like that until the last minute!

Well, you may be aware of some of the drama that I've experienced with my MIL...

Well, you may be aware of some of the drama that I've experienced with my MIL...
I try (as hard as I can) to not get that upset anymore. But, I completely know how you feel!
I'm crying that's how upset I am. It's always one thjing after another w/ FIL & MIL....I've had enough. It's not fair.
