I'm going nuts over here. Still having poop issues....

So, Ava has been refusing to poop for days on end sometimes. this has been going on for a couple of months, now. We've tried everything. Cutting out dairy, giving her prunes daily, no apple juice or bananas or apple sauce, high fiber, lots of water, bribes, charts and stickers, etc. You name it, we've tried it. So finally, I called the Dr. and took her in yesterday. He said that it's just a bad cycle and that she is just stubborn. He further went on to say that it's common at this age and the more we place emphasis on it, the worse it's going to get. He told us to give her prune juice only to drink (watered down) for the next couple of weeks and no dairy. He said it will correct itself. So last night I felt a little better, but I honestly cannot take this. I'm washing a load of laundry everyday that's JUST her underwear because she stains her underwear from trying to hold it in. I'm just so frustrated and annoyed and I was hoping our doctor would give me a prescription or something to make her go. Ugg. I'm just having a rough time right now. I'm so angry with her over this, even though I know I shouldn't be because she's just 2 and doesn't know any better.

Is it that she can't go? Or she's just holding it because she's scared to go?

I hope this phase is overwith quickly.

She can go if she let's herself, but she refuses to because she's afraid it's going to hurt, but then other times she just doesn't want to stop what she's doing to go.

Have you tried Miralax? That works wonders.
