I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
So I just got back from the doc today and everything looks pretty good. The girls are growing great and have great movement. So both babies have been head down for over a month. It didn't really mean much b4 but at the weeks progress and they are still head down, chances are that they will stay that way.
So my doc today was telling me that so far, everything looks good to try naturally. The only thing that I don't have on my side is that I have the cerclage but thats not a big deal apparently. Even delivering naturally, I will always take the risk of delivering one naturally and then having a c-section for the other like all multiples. at 1st I was kinda set on the idea that i would be having a C-section and I was ok with that but now that things look good enough for me to try naturally I think I want to experience the whole natural process of child birth.
Can u guys share you experiences either way.. maybe that will help me make my final decision.
Thanks in advance and sorry this is long.

Well, I had a c-section for my first DC, and the twins were not head down, plus I had preeclampsia, so it was a c-section for me. If both babies were head down and it was my first pregnancy I would totally go for it naturally. Good luck!

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
I had an emergency c-section with DS.
Plus these girls are constantly flipping from breech to head down, weekly!
So I'm really not a candidate for a VBAC.
If it were my first, babies were both head down, I'd try for a vaginal.

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
While I love the thought of having natural childbirth with twins I prob would have been too scared. I would hate to have stitches in both my who-ha and my stomach. Although, I am a little sad that I will never get to experience it. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
my 1st was a vaginal delivery....i was induced at 35 1/2 weeks b/c of pre eclampsia.
with my twins, i wanted to try and do it again and my OB was all for it. he said more than 50% of twins he delivers are vaginal. But both babies were transverse and i ended up with an emergency c.s b/c of pre-eclampsia.
good luck!!

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
Thanks for ur input ladies. I guess Im torn because I def want what is easiest for the babies but at the same time if the opportunity is there why not try to get the experience of natural child birth.
I still have some time to decide and my docs office already scheduled my c-section for 38 weeks just in case, but I wll have to figure it out soon. (of course depending on my progress)

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
my 1st was vaginal, no drugs. She came early and fast.
My intentions for the twins was to have them vaginally, if both were head down.
They were head down for a long time and then suddenly Twin B flipped and I had no choice to get a c-section.

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
I had planned on going naturally and luckily i was able to. I was induced due to high bp at 36 weeks (thank god b/c both babies were over 5 lbs) i was in labor for about 4/5 hours in actually labor pains for about an hour. I was in the OR for a short time the girls were 7 minutes apart prob would have been quicker but a took a break to breather before pushing the 2nd out. I had a a quick and easy recovery and had very little discomfort after having them. good luck....

i was really scared at the chance of missing one of my boys' births if i had to have an emergency section. best decision i ever made! my section was great, scar is fine, and boys were here in no time@

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
If both of mine had been head down, I would have wanted to absolutely try for a vaginal delivery.
With DD2 who was just born a few weeks ago I was going to try to for a VBAC and had some complications, so wound up with another C. I am so upset that I had 2 c-sections and never had a chance to even try for a vaginal delivery with any of my children.

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
Thanks ladies!! So I have decided that if all remains the same and its still safe for me deliver naturally when the time comes then i will give it a shot. The only thing that scares me is possibly delivering one naturally and on c-section.. but that a risk I'm willing to take.
Thanks for all ur feedback girls!!

I delivered DD naturally and for me it was a beautiful experience. My opinion would be if you have the urge to try naturally, then go for it. But always prepare yourself for the possibility that things can change very quickly. If you're ready for it, then the whole experience will be great no matter which way you go.

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
My twins were head down starting around 30 weeks and never moved, so at 37 weeks and two days, my water broke and approximately 18 hours later and mild contractions, I started pushing at 1 pm and at 2:10 pm Grace Margaret was born 6lbs 8oz 20 inches and exactly one and half hours later Lauren Elizabeth was born at 3:40 weighing 5 lbs 1oz 18 inches. Honestly it really wasn't too bad at all. I would suggest trying vaginal- especially if they are head down, why not?! Good luck

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
I delivered my twins natuarally. I was scheduled for a c-section because baby B was breech. But, the morning of my section, they did one last sono and she was head down. It was crazy and painful (DS was sunny side up, so he got stuck and I had bad back labor), but it was an incredible experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
For me, DD (baby B) did end up flipping breech after pushing out DS (baby A) for three hours. But, the doctor I had doing the delivery was very well versed in breech extractions (we talked about it extensivley when I was pg and she had done a TON of them). So, she pulled DD out by her feet (DD was also A LOT smaller than DS, so I didn't have any concerns about her getting stuck).
It is a really personal choice, but for me it was the right one. My recovery was pretty easy (I was up and moving that night and left the hospital a day and a half later), and it was such a feeling of accomplishment for me. I also like knowing that, if I had another child, I wouldn't have to have a c-section.
Good luck!

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
DD came 3 weeks early, vaginal delivery with no problems. so fae both babies are head down and the plan is to go vaginal. I'm more scared of a c-section and recovering from that with three babies and stairs. Either way there is recovery time and the excitement of having your babies in your arms. My Dr said if baby b is breach, a lot of times the flip after a is delivered.

Re: I'm Kinda torn.. give me ur opinions please...
Through my whole pregnancy baby a was head down. Baby B was transverse and my goal was to try for v birth. My Dr said once the first baby was delivered, they would grab the second and pull him out by his feet I ended up having an emergency C at 35.5 weeks due to preeclampsia(seems to be very common with twins)

I felt much the same way. I had a c section with my first child and planned on a c section for the twins all along. Both babies were measuring wonderfully and were in great position - and I made it to 37 weeks, 2 days. . . but I just felt more comfortable with the c section - I was scared that something would go wrong and I'd need an emergency. My doctor fully supported a repeat c section.
The recovery was easier for the twins c section than for my oldest daughter - and the scar is minimal.
