Re: I'm miscarrying (updated and mad)

I understand your frustration, but I don't think that they can determine anything while you are miscarrying.
They probably will want to do bloodwork afterwards to determine if your levels are normal again or if something is off.
Don't forget, that when you first got your positive, they told you it probably wasn't going to stick so there must have been something off right away...

Again, I am so sorry for your loss and understand your anger. Hopefully, they will figure out what is going on.

Re: I'm miscarrying (updated and mad)

awww, Im so sorry you feel so frustrated, but thats kinda standard. They cant do much with a beta of 2 now to see anything. They can run tests afterwards.

Also most RE's dont consider M/C's recurrent until you have had at least 3....so you will have to push the fact to get testing done based on that. And if they consider it a chemical PG they dont count it as a M/C at all. At least they didnt count mine as that ...

Wait and see what the reaction is when you go for the consult.

This makes sense. I wasn't sure if they should do the tests now or later but it made sense to me to do it now since i'm sure my blood levels are out of wack. I made an appointment in 2 weeks, hopefully she can run tests.

Yes, your right the nurse said the levels are low but said it could be way early in the pregnancy since I AF was due the next day. I kind of knew that this one wasn't going to work. Thank you for helping me with all this..Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you for the information, I thought that they had to run tests now for some reason. I'm hoping that they do the testing with my 2 miscarriages. I heard that they wait until 3 but I'm going to push them to do it..I hope it works. Thanks again.Chat Icon

Hoping that they when the RE's office asked you to call them when AF comes it is because they are going to start a series of blood work- cd3 and more.

My heart goes out to you, hoping that you are able to get the answers that you need soon.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon also they will probably attribute this m/c to be because it immediately followed the first. I know my RE told me to wait a month because it might increase the risk of m/c if PG right away.

I will say that if you are not 100% confident in your doctor you should consider a switch. If it is importan to YOU that they test then demand it!! You are the client and have the right to demand a blood test.

They haven't tested the fetus. The first miscarriage which was a missed abortion I miscarried on my own. I asked them if they wanted to test it they said no to let it pass on it's own. This one is a chemical pregnancy so I don't think they can test anything with this one.

How many day late for AF are you? Also the new standard fro testing is after 2 especially if you are in your 30's. Your Dr should be willing to do it no questions asked. I have an AWESOME ob/gyn that will give you any tests you want and write letters of medical necessity to the insuraqnce co. Let me know if you want their name. They are in Suffolk.

I was about 5 days late until the bleeding started. Great, I want them to do the testing. Please send me the name of your gyn in case mine doesn't want to do it for me.

Thanks!

During my m/c's I was only aboput 4-5 days late and I passed tissue. You shoudl def. get the tissue analyzed. There is a dr Carolyn Salafia who is a pathologist and does analysis on this and can possibly give you a reason.

Here is a

QUOTE]webiste
that has an e-mail for her-maybe you can e-mail and ask her a few questions.

My gyn is Personal Womens Care and the Dr's are Dr. Halpert and Dr. Somers. They are in Smithtown. Dr. Somers is more proper and stiff but the sweetest man. Dr. Halpert is more jokey and down to earth also very nice. They have helped me through some very tough times.

This is another website for Dr. Salafia

site

I think Dr. Beers clinic does this too.

ETA I have never used Dr Salafia just read about her. But her fees seem reasonable.
