but how do you say this word,
sandwich or sammich?
i'm not sure, but it peeves me till no end the second word.

I'm a southerner and I say Sandwich. Anyone I've ever know that calls it a sammich is making a choice to do so not because they don't know the word.
While we're talking geography and terms where did Grinder come from?!?

I say "sangwich" to pi$$ people off. When I want to get overly ethnic, like my grandfather, I say "sand-a-wich". Otherwise its a plain old "sandwich" to me.

Though he passed away when I was only 4, I can still hear that old-school Polish/Yiddish accent saying it.
