Thanks everyone!! She's responding to the phototherapy really well... we're gonna head over to the hospital and hopefully we get some good news! I'll keep you all updated!

We went through this too - it will be OK!! just think of it as your baby's first 'fake bake' :) She'll be fine - but we'll keep good thoughts for you!

She will be ok. I know it's hard but try not to stress. Alot of babies get jaundice and the phototherapy works. I will pray for you and her!

She is exactly where she needs to be & getting 24 hour care.

I know exactly how you feel
My  had to stay an extra week in the hospital NICU while I took her brother home. It was so upsetting having one at home and running back and forth to see
Like Barb said, she is in the best place and thankfully has a fairly minor condition. She should be out in a few days. They usually keep them in longer than they really need to to be extra cautious.
We were at NSUH Manhasset and while my daughter had a potentially serious condition there were babies there with much worse (as many babies from other hospitals are sent there)... micro premies, babies there for months. My DH met one woman whose twins were born at 24 weeks and months later they were still in the NICU. It is so heartbreaking.

glad she's responding well! we had to go back to the hospital for a few days because DS was jaundiced too. I know it stinks, but she'll be home with you soon!

I know how you feel. My DD was in the NICU for her 1st 3 days of life after getting an infection during delivery. They are amazing and will do everyting they can to get your baby well and home with you! for continued good news!

I know it's very difficult to have your child go through this. I've been there. My DD had to stay in 3 days to get her Billy count down. She is fine now. Your DC will be fine soon! Also, the babies love the heat of the incubator so try not to think of it as being such a miserable time. I think my DD thought she was at the spa!
