I'm very upset today...
I'm having a really rough time today. I've spent the morning crying like a baby, and I just feel really depressed. I don't get to see JT during the week since we're on opposite schedules, and every 5 weeks, he has to work on a Sunday, too. Last Sunday he had to work, which I knew, but usually he can take a day off during the week to make up for it. Since this week was a holiday, he couldn't do that. Ontop of that, two people in his 5 person department took off this entire week, leaving an entire week's worth of work for 3 people to do. That meant that JT worked 12 hours last Sunday, 12 hours Monday, 12 hours Tuesday and 16 hours on Wednesday to help pick up the slack. He was able to take off yesterday, which would have been nice, but since it was Thanksgiving at our house, I was busy cooking, so I didn't spend any time with him Now, he's at work again, even though he's supposed to be off until Monday, because there's STILL work to be done. And he'll have to work 12 hour days from now until Sunday to pick up slack for the two people on vacation.
I just miss him so much and I'm usually good about it, but I just feel like I waited so long for this week so we could spend time together, and now it's all ruined I know it's killing him, too, and it ***** that he has to work, but it's not fair that he's basically getting penalized for NOT taking a vacation. He works in television, and they have to get the work done, so it's not like they can leave anything for next week to get done.
And the kicker is that only one person is supposed to take vacation at a time because they have so much to do in his department, but one guy said last week to JT, "Yeah, man, it's a bummer that I'm going to be sick all next week." and laughed in JT's face. BUt my husband, being the person that he is, didn't tell anyone that this guy just planned to screw them all over and call in sick all week while he was away in Vermont
Ugh. I'm sorry, I just needed to get that out. If you're still reading, I appreciate it, and I know this is on the wrong board, but I felt most comfortable posting this here

That absolutely *****. I would be royally pizzed at the co-worker. It says a lot for JT in terms of how he handled himself.

I can relate to this 100% - I go thru the same thing with my DH all the time - it does

That really stinks! Hopefully he gets OT pay for it and eventually you can take the money and go out together to spend some time alone!

im right there with you... Brian is at the pizzeria 14 hours a day 7 days a week...
we never get time to spend together, and when he is home, he is so tired that all he wants to do is sleep cuz he's exhausted....

i'm sorry hon. i know exactly how u feel. dh is always working (2 jobs-restaurant hours being one of them  ). i just try to keep myself busy with ds.

I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I can relate too--what do you think I'm doing on right now!  Oh wait, he's at a party and I'm home with a sick baby Kidding aside, I do know what you mean...
I know you miss him but you should really be proud (and I know you are) that your DH has really good character and ethics and works so hard for his family!

Oh, trust me, I am more than proud of his work ethic and it's one of the main things that attracted me to him in the first place, but sometimes his good work ethic can really bite him in the butt, and I am guilty of it, too, so I can't really blame him.
It just s-cks because if I don't see him this weekend, I have to wait a whole nother week until I can see him
I'm doing better, I bundled up Ava and went shopping with my sister this afternoon. Nothing makes me feel better than shopping
