I have GHI, so I had to pay about $750. All HMOs are that price, along with any GHI plans (I have a PPO). Other PPOs are less, and I believe BCBS was mostly covered.

i was surprised but mine was fully covered. through reprosource they let you pay a $450 "insurance" fee. if you put it through insurance more than $450 isnt covered, then all you have to pay is $450 and no more. if it turns out they cover more and you owe less than $450, you'll get reimbursed the difference.

I'm not sure how that upfront $450 works, I think that's a neg rate for dr b patients or something pending INS but not sure. For
Me w bcbs ppo I didn't have to lay out anything, I was told by reprosource that bcbs ppo is their only in network INS

Re: Immune testing at dr. B

It depends how much he is testing and what insurance you have. I paid $900 initially (incl. both DH & myself). My insurance covered me for that initial testing. But, for some reason they are not covering the repeat testing. Not sure why. I have to keep after them. Though there is cheaper one for $450 (that everyone is talking about) but Oxford didn't fall in that category.

I have Aetna and after all the testing with Dr B, i paid about $1,500 out of pocket (and that was with the 'discount' through Reprosource as well)

i have UHC also so i know reprosource uses them out of network with the $450 "insurance." the immune panel is the same as the $900 one, you just pay $450 upfront in the case that your insurance wont cover the full testing.

reprosource is a specialty lab in Massachusetts that the immune bloodwork goes to since dr. B has a unique panel that isnt done by like quest or any of the local labs.

Mine was fully covered but its usually 450 if you pay the company upfront...what insurance do you have?

Oh I see, just call your insurance company and ask if they are in your network...
