In laws not replying to a party invite

In the past when ever my mom sent out a party invitation to my husbands side some of them wouldn't reply to it but when the party came they were there. It's always his mom, sister, grandmother and aunt.

We kind of get the feeling that they feel they don't need to reply. Do you think that's rude?

Just a side note in the past and to this day there has been friction between both sides. But when it comes down to it you shouldn't you still reply to an RSVP?

Yes I think it's rude not to RSVP.

Regardless of whether I think it's rude or not, I would call them to see if they were coming & RSVP for them. Since they are my DH's side, I would feel responsible if the party was on my side.

yes its rude! My Inlaws did not rsvp to any of my wedding related stuff (bachelorette party, wedding, and shower). We did it back to them and they had a sh*t fit. So now they refuse to RSVP to anything of ours. Like it was big difference from before!

Beyond rude to not RSVP. Even worse to not RSVP and then show up.

They should still RSVP but if this is what they always do I wouldn't let it upset me. Will the let you know if they can't come?
