Who to Invite to First Birthday Party?
WE are having it as my home and I want it to be more of a kids party . Its only 3 hours and I just want to get pizza, cake...
1. DO you think its rude if I only invite friends with children?
2. Do you think its rude that I only have pizza?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

We only invited friends with kids and immediate family. I think pizza is fine. You could make a salad and also get some garlic knots. I would have some other "kid food" depending on the ages. Maybe some mozzarella sticks or chicken fingers. ENJOY!

Re: Who to Invite to First Birthday Party?
For Jillian's first birthday we had a lot of family and our fiends with and with out kids. ( most of them did not). IMO i feel that a 1st birthday is too celebrate with friends and family. You can still do Pizza at home but maybe add a pasta and some salad. YOu can have any type of party that you want.. no one is saying that you have to have a huge blowout but you can still invite more than firends with kids...this way is lets your firend who have not seen you DD a chance to see her...
Good luck

Re: Who to Invite to First Birthday Party?
The pizza I don't think is an issue. Only inviting friends who have children depends on your relationships. Some of our closest friends don't have children so they were invited. A first birthday party is more about the mom imho because the baby doesn't have any clue about birthdays yet.

We are having a kid party in the morning, but then since the family is so big we are having family over for snacks and cake, when I say snacks like finger foods.. I do not think its rude , we are in the same boat... a lot of our friends do not have kids.. and pizza all the way...

I agree, and the same went for us. I invited all my close friends even the ones who don't have kids yet.

Re: Who to Invite to First Birthday Party?
I think the pizza is fine, but I would invite everyone even your friends with out children.
Brendan is the first baby in our family so we're probably going to have a party with just family, no kids. All of the other babies/kids we know are not related so I'm thinking of doing a separate kids party during the week for Brendan and his friends.
