In preterm labor
I'm only 32 weeks yesterday and started having contractions and then some spotting this morning. We went to L&D this morning and was admitted. My fetal fibronectin test was positive, so I'm at risk of delivering soon. They have me on steroids, and other medications to hopefully stop the contractions.
I'm just so worried about the baby and feel completely unprepared for this. Prayers/good wishes needed!

Lots of prayers headed your way. I had dd2 at 35 weeks and I think I'm still in shock that she came early. I'm sure you're in great hands and baby will do great.

In preterm labor
Lots of prayers for you and your baby. I'm sure you are in great hands and the doctors and nurses are doing everything they can to slow things down and give you the steroids to help develop the lungs.
I had my son at 31+6 weeks. spontaneous laobor, so no time for steroids or anything. He is now 2 years old and perfectly healthy.

Thank you, hearing about your DS makes me feel better. I'm just so worried about the baby and complications.

Dh was born at 32 weeks. He was tiny an spent a month in the nicu, but 37 years later you'd never know it. Preemies are fighters.
I'm sure you're in the best hands and it's great you're on the steroids. Prayers for your lo.

Thanks so much everyone. I'm still hospitalized on medication to stop the contractions. Magnesium sulfate is a nasty drug! They don't know why it's happening unfortunately. The nurses speculate that bc this is my third baby and so low already, my body is just giving out. The baby seems to be doing well though.
I hope to be discharged soon and cook this baby at least a couple more weeks. Trying to prepare now for a Halloween baby, and not the thanksgiving baby we were planning on.
