But I think that the pregnancy board is a better place for you to post your wonderful news.

I disagree, as one of those over a year TTC I would never NOT want to hear about someone elses good news, Never steal someones thunder like that. It is hard but you cant fault her.
Have a happy and healthy 9 months, Congrats to the good news for you and hubby.

It seems like everyone is attacking "WHEN". I think she is just trying to say the post was more appropriate for the pregnancy board since the op was not a poster on TTC prior to bfp. Thats normally something that would be posted on pregnancy since she wasn't TTC. thats all.

That's really harsh, The congratulations post really doesn't eman anything when it's followed by such negativity afterwards...Now I don't think I will want to post when I'm pregnant here, who wants bad vibes when you have such good news to share. If you think this way then there might be others who feel the same, and that worries me. I am genuinely happy for this girl it's not her fault she got pregnant right away and others can't....Let's try to be positive and support others UNCONDITIONALLY, this is why I joined this board!

I will ALWAYS support everyone who is part of this board unconditionally. However, this person was NEVER on the board before her announcement. She spontaneously came on the board with nothing but her wonderful news.. Please don't think I'm evil....I'm really not. I just don't think its right to rub people's noses in your own good fortune, with no empathy for what they are trying so hard to acheive. As far as I can see, she is thrilled to let everyone know about her pregnancy (which she should be!) but I think she should be a bit more sensetive to who she shows off her great luck to.

It's really sad you feel that way. I'm sure you are in the minority here. I am POSITIVE the OP's intention was not to rub anyone noses in it. And who cares that she never posted on the TTC board? I'm one of those people who have been trying for a year to get PG and am dealing with Infertility issues, and in no way do I feel this poster was out to rub anyone's noses in her wonderful news. Noone (especially those that are TTC) should EVER make someone feel bad about sharing their news of bringing a new life into this world.
IMO if you don't want to hear about anyone's good fortune here, then don't open those threads. Simple as that.

By all means, post your frustration.. we all do, but of course you are going to get flamed when you take the wind from someone's sails in their own post! Start your own thread to vent, you will receive all the support in the world, but don't tell someone that you don't want to hear about their BFP.

As far as the post from WHEN, although it could have come out a bit nicer, I understand where she is coming from. It not typical to announce "I got my BFP" on the TTC board as your first post. I can see how WHEN suggested it might be more appropriate for the pg board since jkamore's first post on this board was an announcement. However, WHEN, maybe jkamore was a lurker on this board and didn't feel comfortable posting - you just never know the circumstances. I'm sure she is just so excited she wanted to share her good news with everyone. You will be too when it happens for you - and it will, just hang in there

WHEN, I completely understand the frustration. As you may have seen from my other posts, I just had a m/c. So believe me, it is not easy for to see others pg and learn of people getting pg - I still wonder if I ever will feel better and be able to move on. Maintaining a positive attitude is not always easy.
Anyway, I think your post could have just been made in a separate thread and it might have been received better; in fact, I know it would have been, as the women on here are simply amazing and supportive - just not when it comes across as bringing down someone else's good news. I wish you and everyone the best of luck and baby dust!

100% agreed. No one should feel bad about sharing their good news on this board no matter how long they've been posting! I sure as hell will not share mine now! sorry but this poster just totally ruined it for me....

I don't think you're "evil" but I do feel that you were not the nicest person to this girl who shared her news with us. Regardless of how long she's been posting she should've received unconditional support from us. The reason I joined here is to share this process with others that were going through it and to be able to share any news without resentment from others. It is what it is some people take 1 month to conceive some people take 1 year. There will be a time for everyone. We need to be supportive to others no matter how long they are trying. That's just my opinion.
