Re: In what ways was your newborn easy and what ways were they difficult?
Difficult:
Breastfeeding was difficult in the beginning. She had trouble latching, so I started out using the nipple shields. She was still using them consistently as recently as last week. But now we've finally weaned off of them
Easy:
Everything else. Ryleigh is such a calm, easy-going baby, and was from the very first day. She also sleeps really well--even in the hospital, she slept at least 6 hours during the night!

Honestly neither of my kids were easy as newborns. It's honestly made me decide I am probably not up for doing this again.

Re: In what ways was your newborn easy and what ways were they difficult?
Easy pretty much describes it all for us.
Of course the first week or two was rough but once she figured out her days and nights it was fine.
The only hard part we had was getting nursing going in the beginning but by the time she was a month, it was a breeze.
I think the reason I said it was easy is that I expected it to be much harder than it was.

Re: In what ways was your newborn easy and what ways were they difficult?
She was so easy as a newborn:
Slept through the night at 6 weeks. Only cried if she was hungry or needed a diaper change. Just seemed so content. She slept in 4 hour stretches from the get do. Loved to be held, but loved her swing too. Was very social right from the start-loved everyone holding her, talking to her, cooing. Made transition to day care sooo easy.
Hard-not much: She had spit up issues, but once we changed her formula, it was fine.
She always waiting just until the last moment to hit her milestones (rolling over, sitting up). I was constantly worried that she wouldn't hit one within the designated time frame-she did, but just made me wait for it.
Oh, she was in a brace for her first 2 months because she has/ad hip dyplasia. It wasn't hard per se, but it took a little time to get used to.

Re: In what ways was your newborn easy and what ways were they difficult?
I had no difficulties...Kerri started sleeping from 9pm-4am at 5 weeks and then at 8 weeks it was 8pm-8am. Never had any problems with feeding and she didn't cry much.
