In your household, does Santa bring anything for the adults?
Just curious. So far (oldest child is 5) we have only done Santa gifts for the kids and dh and I exchange with each other Xmas eve, as well as give our kids a couple of small gifts from us. But I was wondering if dh and I should maybe pretend some of our gifts to each other are from Santa? Is Santa supposed to bring to everyone? Now that dd is old enough to question things I want to make sure I'm not giving her anything to wonder about if that makes sense. Also, we give the kids small gifts from us since they get their "big"/exciting gifts from Santa. But will dd wonder why dh and I give each other pretty nice gifts but she just got like shoes and a book from us?
Eta we also have a stocking hung for each member of the family, but so far in years past, we have only out stocking stuffers in the kids stockings. Does Santa bring stocking stuffers for the whole family?

No, Santa only brought kids gifts in our house. Mom and dad exchange gifts from each other. All of the stockings are stuffed but its never been asked who does it so I never volunteered any info.

I honestly think my kids (6 & 3) have no idea who any of the gifts are from on Christmas morning. They’re so excited they just open gifts, see us open gifts... they don’t really decipher Santa presents from mom and dad presents at this point.
ETA...I think most stories talk about Santa bringing gifts to children. So I don’t think it would be questioned if he didn’t bring you anything.

Re: In your household, does Santa bring anything for the adults?
No, when I was a kid Santa only brought gifts to children. My parents didn't give us anything from them because that's Santa's job for that day. Since he doesn't bring anything for adults, parents exchange with each other...and we gave stuff to our parents too. I never questioned why my parents didn't get me something, it was more exciting that it was coming from Santa! LOL As for stockings, Santa filled mine & I remember picking out candy for my dads stocking with my mom & he would put little gifts & candy in hers too.

Ok, so it sounds like we can just keep doing it the way we've been doing it. I just feel bad sometimes, bc my dd sees us buying gifts for each other, and extended family too. We usually get nice toys for her cousins, that she sees them open, but we just give her practical things from us. I just hope she doesn't end up wondering why we get her cousins and each other "fun" gifts and she gets "boring" gifts. Was thinking maybe this year we could give her one of the more fun gifts and let the shoes and clothes be from Santa

My DD gets nothing from "us" on Christmas. Just from Santa. She never questioned it. She gets sooooo much from Santa she wouldn't even think to question it to be honest.

No. We don’t do that bc we don’t write Santa a lettter. How would he know what we want? LOL Dd’s Santa gifts are what she puts on her list. Anything additional that I think she may like comes from us.

My parents to this day (I'm 40 years old) will still not admit that there is no Santa. If i ask my mom for a receipt she will say "I'll have to get it from Santa for you". I kind of love it

We hang stockings for all of us but Santa only fills the kids stockings and brings them gifts. DH and I exchange some years but it's just to and from each other, not Santa.
