Infant/Child CPR Certification *UPDATE*

For those interetsed, Ive gotten in contact with a company that will do the class for us for Infant/CPR Certification.
(Theyre affiliated with the American Heart Association).

He can do it at any location (so anyone else is welcome to start another session if this is too far for some to travel).

But we tentatively plan to have it at a Smithtown library. Im going to book a room. Early August, weekday evening 6-10pm. (date TBD)

Let's see how this sounds for some, so we can get a rough idea as to how many will be able to come.

Thanks!

Will this work for you ?

ETA: Unless someone can think of another location where they would let us bring coffe/fruit/munchies Chat Icon
I doubt the library would allow that.
but we DO want to make this a little bit of a moms nite out too

I'd love to go but 6pm is early for me. (I get off a train at 6:30pm).

You know what - scratch that...I would be willing to take a vacation day though - I think it's too important to miss.

Re: Infant/CPR Certification *UPDATE*

Or maybe leave a drop early ? Chat Icon

They can do anytime, but I figured with babysitting issues, with working moms, and with weekends as family times, an evening would work best...

Re: Infant/Child CPR Certification *UPDATE*

I am definitely in -- 7pm would work better for me tho as DH has to get back from Manhattan to watch and then I would have to drive out there. I could do 6pm if really necessary, just think 7pm might work better.

Oh wait, 4 hours?? OK 6pm I guess

I know I didnt realize you had started a thread, sorry Chat Icon and it wasnt mentioned again, so I wasnt sure what the status was.
If youre far from Smithtown, you can start another one.

Ladies- now Im wondering if the library is a good idea or not, I dont think theyre even open til 10pm (9pm).
and even if we were there till closing time (5-9pm is a very tough time for all of us to get there by 5 !)
and we dont want to be shoved out the door at closing time...

If anyone has any other location suggestions (if anyone has a big room in their home (and if it would help that you are homebound with kiddies), they can do it at someone's home as well)
But Im going to check around for a different location option.

Re: Infant/Child CPR Certification *UPDATE*

by all means..I do not mind!
I am saying if u want u can search the thread and pull the names from there as well.
We can do it altogether,
I was waiting on my girlfriends husband. He was seeing if we can use a room in the firehouse that they usually rent.
so we can maybe do that somewhere as well.
keep me informed.Chat Icon

Re: Infant/Child CPR Certification *UPDATE*

What about a chuch? I know St. Joseph's in Kings Park has big rooms. I don't know if they would allow anyone to use them though. I could call if you need me too.

A church is a good idea. St. Mathew in Dix Hills has a rec/education building - maybe we can get a room in there - or even in the basement of the church itself. It is also pretty centrally located on the service road of the LIE.

I can look into it more if you want.
