Infant rubbing his eyes?
DS is 10 months and lately he is constantly rubbing his eyes. It seems like his eyes are bothering him. He digs his little fingers in there and rubs hard. (not only when he's tired, all the time)
Anyone elses DC do this?
Eye doctor said his eyes are perfect, maybe it's allergies. Ped says unlikely that it's allergies, since they don't usually develop allergies until after 1 year of exposure. Said maybe he's just rubbing them out of habit.
That leaves me with nothing
Just looking for ideas, advice, anything.

Does he have long eyelashes? Maybe they are getting in the way of him seeing? DH complains that his eyelashes get in the way (although I don't know how).

Re: Infant rubbing his eyes?
I have this concern with my DD also! She is very fair, so her eyes get super red when she does this! Went to ped yesterday for 6 month checkup and they said its out of habit and I know she does this alot when she is tired. I did notice that she develops little bumps and cuts in the area, so ped said to lube her up with aquaphor at bedtime and in the am.
Hope that helps!

DS would rub his eyes during tummy time, or anytime he's on him tummy and looking up, because when he looks up its like his eyelashes are in the way. Its funny, and sounds weird but I really think this is the case.

Re: Infant rubbing his eyes?
Are his eyes watery or reddish when he does this? Does his nose run at all? DS does this too, esp when we go over MIL's house they have two cats so I'm pretty sure he's alergic to the cats. I also have an inkling he's allergic to wool, some days his nose is running clear fluid like crazy and his eyes bother him like no tomorrow when he spends a lot of time on a wool rug.
