Re: Infertility Success Stories
Posted by KeriNY
Hi,
So does my husband. We just found out he has a very low sperm count when all along I thought I had the fertility issue. We are just starting the process of dealing with it. We've gone to a fertility specialist and now they sent him to a Urologist. Did you have to use ICSI along with IVF. That is what they are saying is probably the only way to go. Seeking any advice I can get!!
Thanks, Keri
Hi Keri,
My husbands first SA was very low....1.4 mil and only 2% morphology. His second count was slightly better...8 mil count and 8% morph. His has bi-lateral varicoceles. We got pregnant on our first IVF/ICSI and I'm now 22 weeks with a baby . I heard Male Factor is one of the easier to do deal with although IMO all issues of IF are hard. Good Luck to you and FM me if you need any info.

Re: Infertility Success Stories
DH and I both have issues which led to our INF struggle. (him low count - me blocked tube). We went through both clomid and injectibles and finally got our BFP on clomid with 5 IUI's in one month.
Hope to hear your success story very soon!

Re: Infertility Success Stories
I also usually just lurk here, privately praying for all of your BFP's!!! But I have 2 stories to share.
I know 1 woman who tried for her BFP for over 3 years. She went through IUI, IVF, tried everything. Finally resigned to the fact that it just wasn't possible. They adopted a beautiful baby boy in January and she got preggo naturally in April of that same year!!!! She now has a beautiful baby girl to make her family complete.
My other friend tried for 2 years and was set to start IUI's. The day they informed her she would never get preggo naturally, was the day she conceived. She got her BFP right when she was about to schedule her 1st IUI. She has a beautiful baby boy now!!!
May you all keep the faith and be granted BFP's

Thsi give me faith. Thanks for posting. We have had multiple losses followed by an ectopic in which my right tube was removed. We are being encouraged by 2 specialists to try naturally(with Clomid) for a couple of months, starting in Sept/Oct

Re: Infertility Success Stories
I have PCOS and DH has a very low sperm count with poor motility.
We tried for almost two years to get pregnant.
After several months of no AF, I went to ab OBGYN who told me Clomid would be "the answer to all my issues".
We went through 3 months of Clomid and "natural" attempts. 1 miscarriage out of that.
When the OBGYN refused to test me for anything else or look at DH at all, we moved to an RE.
3 more months of Clomid but added IUIs. 1 miscarriage out of that.
Moved to IVF because of the MF issues and were successful on our first attempt.
DS will be 11 weeks tomorrow.

Wow you had 5 iui's in one month. I didn't know that they did that. I was only able to have one iui last time.

Re: Infertility Success Stories
The first thing I want to say is that even though I am not going through IF struggles at the moment, I ALWAYS check this board first. Your courage, determination, and perseverance have always helped me, and continue to as I cautiously celebrate our success with IVF. After several different "routes" we decided to be as aggressive as possible (thank god our insurance was great). After our first unsuccessful attempt at IVF, a scare because of a spot on my uterine lining (therefore, a delayed FET), the second time worked! The FET was done on July 10th and we found out that one of the two embryos implanted the morning after my DH's grandma died. What an emotional time. After a couple of months of waiting for bad news, I finally feel like I can be exciting about this! The big event will happen somewhere around March 28th!!!! I would not have been able to go through all of this without the advice, guidance, and information from the women here.
Thank you girls so much! Best wishes for everyone!

Re: Infertility Success Stories
All of these stories give me so much hope! Thank you for sharing!
My DH is scheduled for surgery on his vericocele on the 26th. Hopefully all will go well and we'll be able to get pregnant naturally, however I have already begun looking into insurance for IVF b/c the doctor said it's "no magic bullet".

Re: Infertility Success Stories
I had six miscarriages over a 3 year period, 2 were natural and 4 were via IUI's with clomid or injectibles. I aslo had numerous IUI's that resulted in nothing, We had unexplained infertility. In Jan 05 I did my last IUI with follistim (was going to do IVF if it dodn't work) and my daughter was 2 last month
I wish everyone on this board much success and hope you get your BFP soon
