Information on Old Bethpage, Massapequa and North Bellmore
Hi - I am looking at a few homes in Old Bethpage, Massapequa (north of sunrise) and North Bellmore. Does anyone have any information they can share on these towns, positives and negatives? I know a bit about North Bellmore and Massapequa but really nothing about Old bethpage. TIA!

I don't those areas specifically, but do a Google search on the Bethpage plume and make sure you don't buy anything in that area.

I grew up in old Bethpage. It's a nice area. My parents moved after we got married ten years ago because the taxes were up there for them
The school district would be the Plainview-old Bethpage school district (not Bethpage). Good school district
I like how it's centrally located - in the middle north and south and east and west. Train station is maybe 10 minutes away. Only negative I can think of right now is that nothing is really walking distance unless you live by the true value shopping center

Yeah, I don't know a ton about the plume but I know it's migrating down to Massapequa. I have also heard that the plume areas (don't know what else to call them) have their water tested like every 30 seconds to ensure it's safety so definitely do your research and make your own decision before ruling the areas out.
The plume does not affect N. Bellmore.

I am a real estate agent, so I can help if you have specific questions.
I'm currently working with a buyer who is purchasing in Old Bethpage (headed into contract). I live in N. Bellmore, which is where my office is, and I have sold homes in Massapequa (and grew up nearby in Seaford).
Maybe if you share what you are looking for in terms of a town, we can help you figure out if these areas meet your criteria.

Love old Beth. Great area, wonderful district. Market is a bit tight right now, homes sell pretty quickly. GL!
