Re: Inground Pools - value added?
The reason why I'm asking is because one of my realtors said "this house is more money because of the in ground pool"
It DOES add taxes, correct?

I'm pretty certain it adds to your taxes. You can call the town hall in that town and tell them that you are looking at buying a house and you can ask them as many questions as you want. Find out what the true taxes are, if there are any CO's already on the house, etc. GL!

Be sure to tell that realtor that there will be tons of buyers refusing to even LOOK at the home because it has a pool.
This is why I am considering getting a hot tub. If I ever move I can take the hot tub with me. Or worst case scenario I can always sell it. It won't affect my property value.

In general you don't get any value for a pool. It could actually turn buyers away (maintenance cost and time, safety issues).
it would def. turn us away. I personally would hate the cost, safety and maintance of an inground pool.
