Inspections for Condos

Hey All,
Just curious, what is the average price for an inspection for a condo? I know it is usually wall -to-wall, but do you still need termite? I assume it would be cheaper, not sure though. Thanks in advance

I believe it's the same as for a townhouse or home, between $400-$500.

really, that seems a little high considering the prices I've seen for a house aren't far from that. We are looking in Nob Hill which is not free standing units. They are located in a mini-buildings

Does anyone else have a information? Thanks

Low $400's is about right. My mother-in-law just had a townhouse inspected several weeks ago by "Pillar To Post".

Re: Inspections for Condos

but townhouse is different than a condo. The condos we are looking at are more like co-ops in the sense that there are many units in one building. A townhouse sometimes has two stories.

Re: Inspections for Condos

My condo inspection (multi-units in one building, one bedroom, single floor) was approximately $400 bucks.

This is the best amount you can spend because it will determine a LOT about what the condo is worth.

It's extensive, no matter what size it is or even if you own from the studs on in... they check everything --- the heater, the appliances, the walls, the ceilings, the vents, etc. etc.

Re: Inspections for Condos

ok, thanks. I just assumed it would be $$$ less than an inspection lets say on a levitt house.
