Insurance Med Question....
Any chance the amazing IFV ladies could let me know which meds you took were covered by insurance? And if they were which insurance you have that covered it? FM's are totally welcomed!
TIA
ETA: DH and I have talked and talked and talked and we have decided to forget everyone else and for once do what is right for us. All appointments are set up with a new hematologist to figure me out...and my OB and RE are set to (after a heated conversation thanks to you AMAZING WOMEN and my DH taking your words over a Dr's that he simply didn't like!!) kick these treatments into full gear! We know now thanks to you ladies making me really research, that IVF is covered, but according to our med plan the IVF drugs aren't. So we just need to know what meds you IVF ladies have taken and if it was covered and if so what insurance you had to cover it.

Re: Insurance Med Question....
All of mine were covered... If you aren't covered for a lot of drugs you can ask for donations here..some girls have leftover drugs and are happy to donate. You can also check freegaragesale.com , there are a lot of people selling leftover drugs there for a decent discount.
Good luck!

Re: Insurance Med Question....
I am starting my first cycle of IVF and all of my meds are covered. Off the top of my head, I know I will be on lupron, menopur, and Gonal-F.
I have Oxford (Freedom) and its a plan for a large company. I think we may have a separate prescription plan through Oxford.
Also, my RE's office called my insurance company to find out what meds were covered. I would find out if there is someone at your office who can do the same for you. They are more familiar with the medications.

Kris, Are your IVF procedures covered also? Or just the meds?

I have $10,000 lifetime limit on the IVF procedures and the meds are separate. I think we have a separate prescription plan (though still through Oxford) for our meds.
