insurance question
does anyone know about umbrella policies?
DH and i are purchasing home owners insurance and it was suggested (by family) that we get an umbrella policy. Does anyone know if you can have an umbrella policy if you ONLY have homeowners insurance (we currently do not have a car - will be getting one in 6 months and will be adding car insurance with the same company). but for the next 6 months we would still like an umbrella policy. do we need multi line insurance in order to have an umbrella policy?

insurance question
You will need to take out a non-owned auto policy. They are pretty cheap, and IMO worth it in order to get the umbrella. The Umbrella is VERY important, you never know what can happen, and if you do not have the extra coverage you could lose all you have worked so hard for.
