Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
These were the first vampire books i read (back in high school) and i totally fell in love with them.
that was long before the current popularity of Twilight and True Blood made vampires 'popular' though.

Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
I really enjoyed the first few books. I think I stopped at book 7. The first 3 and The Devil Memnoch are some of my faves though!

I didn't realize there were more than 3. It's available in ebook at my library so I guess I'll go ahead and start that next.

Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
I love them, but the Mayfair Witches series, also by Anne Rice, is even better, IMO.
Anne Rice was doing all these sexy vampire/witches stuff WAAAAAYYYY bedore everyone else, and as a result I feel like it's so much more original. Too bad she became a Christian

She recently denounced Christianity, maybe she'll start writing again. I never read the Mayfair Witches, I'll add it to my queue!

Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
To me, they are the original Vampires. I like the new Vampires, don't get me wrong, but Lestat is the original.
I love them, Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors. I was not a fan of Tom Cruise as Lestat in the movie either.

I couldn't get through Interview with a Vampire but I read the rest of the series and loved. But the Mayfair Witches....I loved every word!

Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
I read the entire series a few years ago. I liked most of the books in the Vampire series but I preferred the Mayfair Witch series. I found reading some of the Vampire books that I had to force myself through some chapters because once I start I have to finish.
She also wrote some other series under other names before she became christian.

Re: Interview with a Vampire Series???
I'm still struggling. I'm at Part II and haven't picked it up again. I am on book 5 of the House of Night series. I'll try to pick up with Interview again when I'm done with those. I hate not finishing a book so I will finish if it kills me.
