Intralipids- Where do you do them?
Have you done intralipids anywhere besides your REs office? If so, where? Thanks.

I did them at Coram-CVS Specialty Infusions. I went to the Rego Park branch. I believe their main branch is Plainview.

In the past, I had used Region Care. A nurse comes to your house to do them.

Re: Intralipids- Where do you do them?
My house.. I forget the company, but I liked my nurse a lot. Only downside was the price!! $350/session (which includes nurse fee and infusion meds, IV poll, etc) but inevitably she stayed overtime and I actually JUST got sent a bill for an additional $250 to cover overtime from when I had infusions done back in November. So annoying. I feel like I'm paying for nothing.

This is what I was looking for! Thanks! They do it in office? I don't want in home. I have insurance and it did cover when I did it at SIRM.
If they did it in office how did you go about getting it done? Did your REs office call in a script to them or did you bring the bag of intralipids to the office? I have a script ordered but haven't filled it yet.
Thanks!

Well that price is insane! AND an overtime fee???Holy Crap. I have no interest in a nurse coming to my home...husband, dogs, and a kid...nope. Intralipids was covered by my insurance at SIRM so I'm hoping it will be covered at another place. I'll need one done in May. Thanks lady!

Yes; nurse and Intralipids were about $200 combined. They bill you. You don't pay anything up front.

Yes, they do it in office. My insurance didn't cover it though because they didn't deem the intralipids to be medically necessary. So I was a cash patient. I believe it was around $230 each time including the meds. That was so much cheaper than SIRM which was $500 each time.
My RE at SIRM had to call in the prescription to Coram-CVS for the intralipids and the infusion services. I did not bring a bag of intralipids to them- I believe Coram will only infuse you with intralipids that came from their own pharmacy. The staff at Coram - Rego Park were all very nice but the billing department is very disorganized. Be prepared to keep records of all bills, and cancelled checks.

This is so helpful! Thank you. I will be calling them. My intralipids were covered at SIRM as an infusion and I only paid a copay. I'm hoping thats what happens at this place but who knows.
