Re: Intro Thread
Hi Everyone, When DH and I got married in 2007 the women of LIweddings were the backbone to keeping me sane in my journey and preparation. I so missed cahtting with so many of you after and looked forward to catching up with some of you as we began our journey to creating our beautiful family. Unfortunately, like for many of us here, that journey proved to be one of the biggest obstacles we have had to face. So, here I am joining everyone hear and hoping and praying that we all have our dreams come true.
Married 9/3/2007 Me: 33 DH:44 RE: Dr. Woods - South Florida Institute of Reproductive Medicine
TTC: since 12/2009 +BFP natural 3/2010 (6 weeks confirmed) --- Miscarriage 4/14/2010 D&C 4/17/2010 Told dont worry you will be fine continued TTC with no success 9/2010 - visit first RE blood work ok HSG - bad - + swiss cheese uterus with questionable left falopian tube involvement
12/2010 -Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy: revealed uterine septum, multiple large fibroids; left tube patent but left ovary riding very high attached to small bowel (should not be a problem but never visualized on Ultrasound - despite all prior doctors and techs telling me all looked well)
1/2011 - follow up - with SIS - still with adhesions 4/2011 - repeat hysteroscopy with stent placement to prevent uterine wall adhesion
6/2011 - 9/2011 - TTC naturally - no success - recommendation from RE as she said everything was fixed - of note did not realize my AMH, and imune panel were never done
** Of note DH is totally fine - he has two children from previous marriage and per the nurse and RE - he has gret swimmers!
10/2011 IUI with clomid - BFN 11/2011 IUI with femara - BFN 12/2011 Femara with intercourse - BFN
2/2012 - decided to switch RE - concerns regarding office organization, the fact that RE was never around during any point of IUI cycles and biggest problem for me (being a doc myself) - lack of continuity of care (I never recieved a call from the nursing or doc to ask if all was ok)
New RE: great - a go getter -off the bat - reviewed all my prior records and consultation for free -Brought to my attention certain labs that were not perfomred that she wanted to do before even discussing ART -found out - AMH - pretty low for my age - slightly elevated thrombotic factors - repeat was normal -Natural killer cells very high
so now on to::::: IVF Cycle 1 - started stims this weekend 3/17 -will also be doing intralipid infusion do to my NK cells

Re: Intro Thread
Hi everyone! I have been lurking here for a few weeks now and have finally made the leap to join you all.
My husband and I married in 2007 and began officially TTC last year. We were suprised when we got a BFP a little after 2 weeks following AF. After a week of betas and ultrasounds, my baby was finally discovered with a hearbeat in my tube. I had emergency surgery to remove my tube and was given the ok to TTC a month later. We conceived again and after 2 weeks of spotting they confirmed via ultrasound that it was ectopic. I was treated with methotrexate and told to pursue IVF. I met with Dr. Kenigsberg at LI IVF in December who suggested an HSG and then we could decide whether or not to TTC or do IVF. I had the HSG on 1/4 and it showed an open tube. We decided to give it one more shot. I thought I had AF and started with my OPK's. After 4 days of positive OPK's I took an HPT which was positive. My beta was 115 and it fluctuated around there for a week before I conceded to the methotrexate again. We are now moving to IVF and will be doing a May cycle.
I look forward to getting to know you all!

Re: Intro Thread
Me: 37 DH:30
Right now we're going with unexplained IF. After my IUI I'm going to have another consult with my RE to get some answers.
We tried on and off for about two years, and then decided to get it checked out after I went for my annual.
My OBGYN did not mess around and sent me right to an RE the minute I mentioned we were trying.
Our consult with the RE was on 3/13 I got my period on 3/18 and had my first bloodwork and sono on 3/21. I surged on my own and had my first IUI on 4/5 I'm aware of one 20mm folicile and 4 or 5 others.
We'll see what happens.
I'm am so glad to have found this board. It's so nice to have all the support and sometimes answers from such a knowledgeable and compassionate group.

I went off BCP in May 2011 after we got married. We have actively been TTC since Aug 2011. I have also started acupuncture as of July. I am thinking of seeing a therapist due to extreme anxiety. I've been getting excruciating heartburn and I'm now grinding my teeth in my sleep. DH woke me up last week b/c I was grinding so loudly that I woke him up! He thought I was chewing a hard candy when he realized I was asleep.
