Re: Intro Thread
Hi all, I'm sort of new here. I signed up a few years ago, but really started looking through the site a few months ago.
Name/Age: Lisette, 38
DH/SO/Age: Craig, 38
How long TTC: 1 year
RE: Andrew Lacopoulos (UES Manhattan), althought I have been thinking of getting a second opinion consult.
Infertility Diagnosis: Unexplained/Age. All testing done and levels are within normal range for me and DH. I do have a hx of hypthyroidism and pernicious anemia, but those levels have been within normal range for many years.
ART methods used/result: Nothing yet. My doc thinks we should pretty much do IVF, but I dont know if I am ready to take that step so quickly, financial reasons. We do not have any infertility coverage or allowance from insurance (1199). We've been given all the rates of IUI, IVF, meds, etc... and trying to absorb this as well as doing some research on the assistance programs. Any information, advice, etc..., anyone can throw my way, I would appreciate very much. I feel kind of lost right now.
Any other children : No
I'd like to add: Its wonderful to know, a forum like this exists. I have read a lot of the posts and can see how supportive and knowledgeable everyone is. I'm so glad that I have a place I can turn to during this journey.

Infertility Diagnosis: Moderate male factor - low sperm count, low morphology. Low progesterone on my side and abnormal cycles.
ART methods used/result: Will start unmedicated IUIs next cycle.
Any other children (if yes, how conceived): Nope.
I'd like to add: I never in a million years thought it would be difficult for us conceive and that I would end up here I know we haven't been trying as long as others have but it has been a stressful and hard process nonetheless. All we can do is put one foot in front of the other and take this step by step. I hope we all get our BFPs sooner rather than later
