Introducing Cereal today! Question...
When do I do it in relation to his bottle? Right before? An hour before?
Also do I do it before each feeding today or just once or twice? I'm clueless

I try to do it at least an hour after DD has her bottle - sometimes an hour and a half. I have found any closer to when she finishes her bottle and she doesn't eat as much cereal

I give the cereal and then the bottle immediately after.. I fif breakfast and dinner.

since formula is still the best for them at this age- with the most nutrients and all that, u want them getting that as their MAIN source or everything still, (i BFed, but same thing), here was her schedule around 6 months...(when she was up to 3 "meals" a day)...
wake up- BF
hour and a half later- cereal (at this point she got it mixed with a fruit)
hour later- nap, usually a short BF session
wake up- BF
hour and a half later- cereal- lunch....
nap again, shortened BF session
wake up- NO BF......
hour later- cereal=dinner
hour later, bath, nite time stuff
BF before bed....
hope this helps....i liked this schedule, and will do the same with #2....

The first week I gave cereal I gave it a couple of hours after my DS's bottle in the early evening. For the first couple of weeks I just gave one cereal meal per day. Yesterday I started giving him cereal for breakfast and I just started on vegetables in the evening. This week he has been trying avocado.

When we first started, they recommend only 1 TBSPN of cereal...we did once a day (for a week). We gave it to her along w/ her bottle...cereal first & then bottle. It's such a little amount to begin with.
