Introducing Myself...and a Question
Hello everyone! I think it's time I introduce myself over here. My name is Jen and we've been TTC for 7 months. I have an appointment with a RE next month (LI IVF) because I have long cycles (40-42 days) and there are male fertility issues on my DHs side of the family.
Here's my question: I saw my OB/GYN last month and he gave me scripts for an HSG and a SA for DH. Should I have DH get the SA done and get the HSG done while we're waiting to get into the RE, or wait until the RE sends us for them? I wasn't going to because I figure the results would be sent to my OB/Gyn, but then I wonder if I'm wasting time not getting them done. Any input is greatly appreciated!

I would do both before you see the RE. My OB/GYN sent my DH for the SA before I saw the RE and the HSG was on of the first things that the RE sent me to do. But the HSG has to be done btwn CD 7 and 10.

i totally agree with the PP - get them done and out of the way bc the RE will just send you for them anyway - it will save you some time!

Yup. I had them done before I went to see my RE and it was good because he could then go over the results and get us started on a plan right away.

I agree with PP, get them done now. Knowledge is power, the more you know...
Your Dr's will forward the results to your RE when the time come.

Welcome, hope your stay is short.
I agree too, get it done now because it will just mean that you can get started on your treatment sooner rather than waiting on test results!

I would definitely get them done asap. You can have the records sent to the RE. Why waste the time?

Get them done and then give have your obgyn give them to your RE..
I'm a patient of LIIVF also.. Kenigsberg is my re..
