Ours would have to be the electric kettle, every home in Great Britain has one, and hardly any homes in the states do...I don't think you guys know what you are missing! We drink scores of cups of tea every day...and its great for preboiling the water for cooking pasta or potatoes...Je T'aime le Kettle!

Rachel,

This Irish girl hasn't used her kettle in over two yearsChat Icon and the tea is always up.

I have INSTANT hot waterChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
I can make a cup of Barry's in less than ten seconds.

It's a separate faucet right next to the main one on the sink that is hooked up to a small hot water heater (located under the sink) that constantly keeps about 2 gallons of water steaming hot.

Ha-haChat Icon Chat Icon The Brits would kill for it.

I love my electric griddle and my stand mixer. As for gadgets I can't live without my tongs, I wish I had more than 1 pair.

The Brits wouldn't like this, it would make life too easy, therefore giving them nothing to complain about! Keep in mind this is a nation where the majority of people do not have DISHWASHERS or TUMBLE DRYERS. People still wash their dished by hand and put all their wet clothes on their radiators! Instant Hot, no way sister, the British want "long hard slog, which means that I might have to wait in a queue" hot water. Instant Hot...indeed.

God I love Britain!!!

Even though DH is usually the one who uses it, I love our grill pan.
