So I just read it again and it says,
"mom and dad will be taking up a collection for me for when I am older-for college or my first car, who knows?!"
... or a new tool for daddy, or a spa treatment for mommy....
So incredibly tacky of them to straight up ask for money.
I would also be tempted to not send anything. Since you can't go, if you don't want to take out the parent's tackiness on the little girl, I would send her a cute outfit... it's not toys!!!
