iPad or Samsung Galaxy
I'm trying to decide on which one I want.
We would mainly use it when we travel to replace our netbook. We don't need 3G, only WiFi since we usually travel out of the country where we live and don't want roaming charges.
We would like to use it for movies and TV. We normally watch TV off the internet so it is usually a flash based program. However, we barely used our netbook for this. I have a feeling it would just be used for email and browsing...
We saw the iPad for a cheaper price when we passed through Singapore airport. We are passing through that way on the way home, so we can get it there. It would be cheaper than the Galaxy for us...
I have an iPhone and I really like it. I'm concerned that my DH would clog up an Android tablet. He plays tons of games and his PC is always slow. I'm afraid this would happen with the Galaxy (we'll be sharing it). My PCs tend to be slow at times. I'm really happy with my iPhone (I don't use it for music, can't stand iTunes).
Anyway, if you have any reviews that would be great. Thanks for reading!

Re: iPad or Samsung Galaxy
I have the Samsumg Galaxy and love it! It's pretty fast connection. But my DH and DS use it a lot and I use it the least and it's mine.

Re: iPad or Samsung Galaxy
Well, if you want the same experience as your phone, get the iPad. Galaxy is based on googlle software and while similar, it will be a different experience.
As far as apps/games, you won't see a slow down or performance if you use the right programs to close programs like task killer and such.
We have android phones and android tablets in my home as i think apple is over priced. The new galaxy is over priced too IMO but very nice product. if you want to save some bucks but keep the performance, look at the iconia and thrive.
I have a transformer with the optional keyboard docking station pretty much making it a netbook.
