iPhone questions
I am late to the party, but I am finally breaking down and getting a smartphone (yes, I still have a flip phone )
I am looking at the iPhone, going throught Verizon's website, I can get the iPhone 4S 8gb for $1 or I can get the 16gb for $50.
Your opinions are needed here, would you go for the 8gb or 16gb?

Re: iPhone questions
If you have a lot of music or will be taking a lot of pictures/video, get the 16. I have maxed mine out (mostly pictures), and will upgrade to the 32.

Re: iPhone questions
I'd go for the 16GB and higher if possible. Its amazing how you think you dont need that much space, but then there are apps that accumulate "hidden data" over time - or you end up taking 500 + pics/videos on vacation that you want to store until you are able to upload them at a later time.
I have the 4S w/ 16GB and had to delete about 5GB of hidden data I had stored just to download the iOS 7 update - I have about 175 apps and use almost every single one on a weekly basis - and some apps have as much as 1 GB of data in it that I can't/don't want to delete (ie reference materials, order history for HauteLook/RueLaLa). My profile pics for Contacts alone take up about 800MB of space.. I plan to get the 32GB phone the next time I upgrade (may be the 5S, not sure yet if I will go for it).
BTW: when you buy an iphone w/ 16GB. you are really only getting 14.9 GB or so of usable space due to the iOS.

16gb. I didn't think I'd need more b/c I only have like 100 songs and no videos but apps and pics take up a lot of room. I have to delete things a lot.

Ditto. Especially with the new operating system- it takes up a lot of space. Totally worth the extra $49.

iPhone questions
I have a 16 and wish I could upgrade. Like the girls said, I can't believe how much stuff I keep on it without reazlizing it. I keep some music, some photos and some apps, but recently I went to download a new app and couldn't because I completely ran out of room. So now I don't even have some apps on my phone that I used to use, but I didn't have room for them all until I deleted all my music and photos. I don't think I could do it with less, and like you, this was my first iphone.

Re: iPhone questions
You could upgrade but keep in mind that you can also store your music in iCloud which frees up a ton of memory.

Re: iPhone questions
Definitely get the 16gb. That's what I have and I wish I would have went bigger than that.
