Irregular period ?
My cycle is usually 32-35 days long. This past month, I never got a + opk. Also never got my period (took pregnancy tests, all negative). Finally got my period TODAY, 49 days after my last one and about 2 weeks late.
Now, the question is... When the heck do I start the opk tests again? Counting from today, or counting from when I should have gotten my period?
Also, I do not do basal temps. It never worked for my first one, never got any patterns, and don't plan on doing it again this time around.

Irregular period ?
From today. Sounds like you possibly had an annovulatory cycle.
I had super irregular cycles my whole life (ranging from 38-75 days, sometimes more). About a year into TTC #1, I started temping and using the CBEFM. I didn't always have a peak reading and I didn't always have a pattern from temping. One month I suddenly did. And then the next month, and month after that. I had almost a year of trackable cycles. I didn't do anything different. It just happened. I was glad I was temping and using the monitor b/c it helped me understand my cycles better.
One month I didn't get a peak reading and my temps were kind of wonky and didn't have a great pattern and we somehow managed to conceive DD that month.

Re: Irregular period ?
I tried temps for a few months, but the problem is that my body is ultra sensitive to the outside temperature. So, if the a/c was on, I'd have a low temp. If the heat kicked on right before I got up, I'd have a high temp. If DH was close to me, if have a high temp, etc. That's why there as no real pattern. Plus, now with a dd screaming for me when she gets up, I'd barely have the time to spend the minute waiting for the thermometer!
