Is 4oz of formula too much???

Ava will be 5 weeks tomorrow? She started at 2 1/2 oz and I've been gradually increasing it because she always seems to be hungry. Do babies usually stop drinking when they are full or will they just **** the whole thing down either way?

I put 3-4 oz. in the bottle, he rarely drinks it all, he pushes it out with his tongue the first time to burp and thenagain when he isdone. I noticed that he drinks more when it is ready made vs powder.

Definately not too much. They have a growth spurt around 6 weeks (she may be going through that a little early) and they eat more then. Babies stop when they are full. My girlfriend's baby came home from the hospital eating 4 oz at a feeding.

Babies drink until they are full. Remember, you can never overfeed a baby.

JAcob is 6 weeks old and he eats anywhere from 4-5 oz a feeding every 3-4 hours...

Marissa is a little over 4 weeks and I give her betwn 3.5-4 oz every 3.5 hours. I thought is was too much at first but, if I give her any less, she's still hungry. I'm going to speak to my pediatrician about it tomorrow.

Miranda seems to stop when she's full. We can kind of tell because she doesn't **** quite the same so we take it away otherwise she seems to spit it al up if she eats past being full.

Not too much. They let you know when it's too much. Jake used to press his lips shut and make a pouty face when he didn't want anymore. If she spits up during or immediately after the feeding, that could be a clue that it's too much. But if not, you're okay!

Hayley is 4 weeks old and will eat 3.5-4oz every 3-4 hours. Sometimes she goes longer than 4 hours.
