Is anyone going to stop working before disability starts??
Well, I was speaking with my doctor today, at my checkup...I was told that I can not go out on Disability (according to the state) until 36 weeks. As long as all is ok with me....it can not be sooner.
So, my question is...Is anyone going to stop working before disability kicks in??

Remember that it will deduct from your FMLA of 12 weeks if you eligible for it.
So if you are on 4 weeks bedrest, your FMLA covers you for 8 weeks after birth.
ETA: That does not mean that you have to return at 8 weeks with your company but some companies will only allow the FMLA amount of time of 12 weeks max.

I have separate disability ins. w/ my company (that I pay for) so if I legitimately have to be out, I'm covered - But I'm going to work for as long as I can - I'm sure the commute won't be fun - but what the heck would I do at home all day?

Nope, I'm stopping right at 36 weeks though most likely since my commute is wearing on me

Re: Is anyone going to stop working before disability starts??
Well, I have vacation time that I have to take this year or I lose it. So, I figured I'd take the vacation time just before the disability kicks in....
So, by taking my vacation time....it won't interfer with my disability or FMLA....

As long as you don't have any pregnancy-related complications, you should be able to use vacation days before you give birth or are considered disabled and unable to work.
If you're taken out of work early due to pregnancy-related complications, that period of time will count against your 12 weeks of FMLA leave (assuming your employer designates it as FMLA leave). Your employer can require you to substitute accrued paid leave (i.e. vacation days) for unpaid FMLA leave.
