Is anyone NEVER going back on the pill again?

I'm not TTC but I'm thinking of going off the pill because I can't stand the side effects. Anyone else feel this way?

I will never take it again. I keep hearing about the rise of strokes in young women as a result and it's just not natural. I blame being on it for years as part of not getting preg so quickly

Thanks for your repsonse. I feel so presured to be on it and I just want my body to be natural and healthy.

I am still undecided right now. But I am leaning more toward not ever going back on. Hopefully I will be more sure when the times comes.

i'm not sure how i feel. it really helped balance out my hormones...as i'm learning.

Not TTC here, just browsing through. I went off the pill last year because we were TTC. Will never go back again. I was on it for so long I didn't realize the side effects I had until I was off it.

Not sure what we will do now since DS is born and we certainly aren't ready for another. I suppose pull and pray

I was only on it for about a year. I came off it pretty quickly because I didn't like putting chemicals into my body unnecessarily. I didn't need to take it for any medical reasons, so I just stopped. So no, I will never take it again.

I was only on the pill for a few years in college. My mood swings were so bad that I literally thought I was crazy.
That being said, I will never go on it again.

I was on it for 13 years - now off it for 3 and will never ever go back on it. Even if we were not TTC, I wouldn't be on it. I hate the thought of putting unnecessary hormones and such into my body.

I was on it for as long as I was for medical reasons (I have INSANE periods - I pass out and become virtually bedridden and incoherent for a day or so during the middle of my period - it's not fun at all). I decided to stop 3 years ago when we got married - not to TTC at that time, but to just get all everything out of my body and let nature do what it has to do. I now just deal with the pain that comes along with AF. My administration knows about the problems and is always looking out for me. There have been several times where I've passed out in front of my class and had to be wheeled out of the room in a wheelchair and driven home by my AP. But, everything in my body is natural and I'm willing to take these effects now rather than suffer later in life from things related to the pill or any other form of BC.

Sorry for the ramble.....

You couldn't pay me to go back on the pill ever again!!! My Dr. told me that there was virtually no wait period after getting off the pill to get PG.... I didn't O for 4 months!!!! Now we're in our 10th month of trying.

I will never go back on the pill. I had some terrible side effects that I didn't realize were from the pill until after I went off it. My DH won't let me go back on (I was crazy on it!!). Plus we have some infertility issues so it will be au natural until we decide we are done having kids (if we are even able to get pregnant on our own which is not likley). Once we are done having kids, we'll figure out something else. I could totally see myself doing NFP, I love being in touch with my body and know what's going on.

I was on the pill for 9 years. My cycles were pretty irregular before that. I liked that I had regular and lighter periods while on the pill. The only real negative side effect I noticed was it decreased my sex drive. I haven't completely made up my mind yet, but I don't think I'll go back on it again.

I will NEVER EVER EVER go back on the pill. I know way too much about it now to put those chemicals in my body. Not too mention all the side effects I had, like I had NO sex drive, it caused me to weigh about 95 lbs because I had no appetite and my boobs were flat. I went from an A to a C after I went off the pill. Anything that causes my body to do all of that is no good for me. I now use natural family planning and I love it!

I think i will go back on. First off, i get TERRIBLE cramps when not on BCP. Also, my skin was SO much better while on BCP. I like having an exact cycle. When im not on BCP, my cycle can be 40+ days.

No! I was on it for 12 years and I finally feel alive again. It's amazing what the side effects do to you.....

I was on it briefly for about 6 months when I was 18. I went for my checkup and my blood pressure was 160-100 I could have died if I continued taking it. Unfortunately I had to take medication for almost 20 years for high blood pressure as a result of this trigger. Amazingly, my blood pressure went back to normal (actually below) the minute I got pregnant the first time and hasn't gone back up since
I completely blame the hormones in the pill. I would never let my DD take it.

I'm not TTC yet, but went off the pill in May. I started having some nasty side affects (no sex drive, leg cramps, migraines, etc ...) I will never be 100% sure that the pill caused all of these problems, but since I've been off I no longer have these issues. We are using condoms until we're ready to have a baby, and may try charting. I'm having some weird issues now like acne and bloating, but I'm hoping once my body adjusts I'll be back to normal. It just scares me that a little pill can have such an affect on your body, so I will probably never go back on BCP.

I will NOT go back on it after I have my baby. I went off the pill 2 years ago, and had I known I could not get pregnant on my own, I never would have gone it in the first place.

I'm still undecided. I was on it for about 3 years. I've got PMDD and it helped with that. Thank goodness it hasn't been too bad since I've stopped BCP (6 months).

i am so relieved that i was never on it in the first place..
i feel so bad for many woman that has problems from it..
